DescriptionT-RackS VS is a set of high quality real-time software sound processors that offers amazing sound performance with a similar working environment to that of a high end mastering station, right inside your Roland VS Studio.T-RackS VS consists of two software Plug-Ins for the VS8F-3 plug-in expansion board:� T-RackS VS Mastering Equalizer: State-of-the-art six band stereo parametric equalizer.� T-RackS VS Mastering Dynamics: This is a set of three processors and includes a Mastering Tube Stereo Compressor, a Mastering Multiband Stereo Limiter and a Stereo Soft Clipping output stage.All the processors emulate classic analog sounds and have been specially engineered for working on final mixes, with all controls accurately designed for mastering, just like the highly acclaimed high-end vintage audio gear T-RackS is modeled after. The working principles of T-RackS VS algorithms are based on the circuit schematics of real analog hardware devices, and our proprietary filter design theory. We started looking at the schematics of some classic analog vintage circuits. A mathematical model of each circuit was studied and then converted into a DSP algorithm. Due to its design philosophy the T-RackS VS processors can effectively replicate all the small signal non-linearities and particular behaviors of real analog circuits, delivering the wide and warm sound those processors are famed for. Even though T-RackS VS has been designed for mastering,its quality plug-in units will sound amazing on individual tracks too. The Equalizer will work in double precision mode when 7.5 dB range is selected.Bands On/Off switchesThese switches allow you to individually turn On or Off the Equalizer bands.High Pass FilterThis knob adjusts the cut-off frequency of the 12 dB per Octave High Pass filter. Frequencies lower than the set value will be attenuated. The cut-off frequency can be set from 18 Hz to 4 kHz. Going below 18 Hz it will turn OFF (no filter). Use this filter to remove any unwanted low frequency rumble from the program. It is also very effective when used creatively.Low Pass FilterThis knob adjusts the cut-off frequency of the 12 dB per Octave Low Pass filter. Frequencies higher than the set value will be attenuated. The cut-off frequency can be set from 200 Hz to 20 kHz. Going beyond it will turn OFF (no filter). Use this filter to remove the top end of the audio spectrum from the program. It is also very effective when used creatively.Low Shelving GainUse this control to boost or reduce the level of this band. Clockwise rotation will boost the band and vice versa. The value is displayed in dB. The range is from �7.5 to +7.5 dB or from �15 to +15 dB.Low Shelving FrequencyThis knob adjusts the frequency range of low-shelving filter. All frequencies up to this value will be boosted or reduced. You can set the cutoff frequency anywhere from 30 Hz to 800 Hz.Lo-Mid GainUse this control to boost or reduce the effect of this filter. The range is from �7.5 to +7.5 dB or from �15 to +15 dB.Lo-Mid FrequencyThis knob adjusts the center frequency of the Lo-Mid peaking filter. This filter will boost or reduce a portion of the audio spectrum around the centre frequency you set. The range is from 30 Hz to 5 kHz.Lo-Mid BandwitdhThis switch let you choose between two bandwidth characteristics. Low Q position will give you a wider and more natural response (wide-band, left button). Hi Q position will give you a narrower and more selective response (narrow-band, right button).Hi-Mid GainUse this control to boost or reduce the effect of this filter. The range is from �7.5 to +7.5 dB or from �15 to +15 dB.Hi-Mid FrequencyThis knob adjusts the center frequency of the Hi-Mid peaking filter. This filter will boost or reduce a portion of the audio spectrum around the center frequency you set.
