The detector stage is where the compressor analyzes the incoming signal and determines how gain reduction must be applied. This variable high pass filter prevents, when turned up, that compression pumping, mainly caused by the program low end content. The further this knob is turned the the softer and more innaudible the compression character will be. At the minimum or at very low settings the compression will be much more aggressive and noticeable.Use lower settings when you want to �hear� the compression effect and use higher values for a gentle compression, as you may want in acoustic mixes. 4) Individual limiter bands controlsNow all the three limiter bands low, mid, and high are individually adjustable for threshold and level.
