The Peavey TriFlex System offers 1000 watts of power with Peavey's own power morphing technology, with the award winning KOSMOS built in this 15 Low Rider Black Widow Subwoofer and two 8 high efficiency, two-way satellite speakers really delivers the goods! Also, the stands and cover with stand/cable pouches are included.Product Details:Peavey Triflex Features: * Compact 3-piece cradled portable powered PA system * 1000 watts total with power morphing technology * Built-in Kosmos features * 15 inch Low Rider Black Widow subwoofer * Two 8 inch high efficiency 2-way satellite speakers * Stands and cover with stand/cable pouches included * Weight 181 lbs. (Packed)Rolling ThunderThis system is truly a professional-level, heavydutyproduct. The engineers at Peavey mustveused their Swiss Army knives for inspirationwhile incorporating portability into their design. The TriFlex system containes a subwoofer withpower amp and built-in mixer, along with twovery small, lightweight main speaker boxesthat nest atop the rolling subwoofer. A sturdycover completely wraps and protects the systemwhile in transit, and has large pockets thataccommodate included speaker stands andSpeakon speaker cords. When the system is inportable mode it easily rolls on its heavy-dutycasters. Although the subwoofer by itself doesweigh over 100 pounds, with its well-positionedhandles and an extra set of hands it can easily beloaded into your vehicle.Fully Packed BoxThe subwoofer carries the brains and brawn ofthe system. With the sub in position youll findall mixer controls and speaker connections onthe rear panel. Input selection includes stereoleft/right inputs, outputs, and throughputs, usingbalanced 1/4/XLR combo connectors. These canbe configured for stereo or mono with a groundlift switch. A handy stereo RCA input is providedfor DJ playback gear. Additional cool featuresinclude: left and right high-pass outputs, whichsend a signal of 120 Hz and above to additionalpowered speakers or amps; a master level control;LED clip light; and a built-in limiting circuit tokeep you from melting down all your speakerdrivers.Peavey has also incorporated the Kosmosenhancement system into the TriFlex. Its Quake/Sub Level knob augments the low end bygenerating bass frequencies one octave lowerthan the program material. The net result is extrathumpy bass. The Expanse knob creates morehigh end and a wider stereo field; more on thislater.Any professional system is going to needlots of power, and this small package doesntdisappoint. The box is loaded with three beefyamplifiers: 750 watts to drive the internallycrossed-over 15 subwoofer and two 250-wattpower amps to drive the top boxes. They dontcall it the TriFlex system for nothing, as thesubwoofer is flexible enough to work also as astand-alone unit generating up to 1,000 watts ofbone rattling power. But the great thing aboutthis system is that all components are matchedfor optimum performance.Whereas the subwoofer is a bit heavy, the top boxes are extremelylight and small. Constructed out of real plywood wrapped in a tough MDFcovering, and finished off with metal corners and an attractive grille, theseare some sharp looking little boxes. The main speakers are loaded with8 premium woofers and real titanium compression drivers. Overall, thesetup presents a professional looking, neatly cabled system that takes up aminimum of floor space.Clearly FlexibleWith this system, all you need to do is connect your mixer, match youroutput to the TriFlexs input, and youre ready to go. The first thingyou notice about this system is its high-fidelity sound, as the high-endcompression drivers really add sparkle to the upper frequencies. As Iincreased the volume on a bass heavy dance track, the 15 sub provedvery capable of putting out bass frequencies that one can really feel. TheTriFlexs full sonic potential is realized when you begin to experiment withthe Kosmos enhancement system. With a favorite track playing I slowlybrought up the Quake/Sub level, resulting in lots of extra, punchy bass. This worked particularly well with older CD tracks that are lacking in bass. The Expanse knob provides a noticeable widening of the stereo field, andadds dramatic sparkle and vocal clarity. To test the systems flexibility,I plugged in my acoustic guitar and vocal mic; it did an exceedinglygood job of reproducing live music a well as prerecorded, overproducedtracks. The system is very crisp and clear and will easily fill up any small tomedium-size room with full-range sound. After using the system on a few DJ and solo acoustic gigs, I reallybegan appreciate the TriFlex as a simple yet bulletproof PA system, withsome high-tech enhancement thrown in for good measure.
