What you can expect is a clear image of your mix, and a wide sweet spot - giving you great sound whether you're on axis or off. Special amplifier design The amplifier design on the MR5s and the MR8s is matched to the monitor design, featuring Mackie's A/B architecture. Instead of coloring the sound, Mackie designed the amplifier to be neutral, delivering an ultra-flat frequency response. Acoustic controls allow you to adjust high and low frequency settings to compensate for your room's acoustics. Mackie also included both balanced and unbalanced inputs - giving you the ability to handle any material you need. Rear-ported cabinet The speaker cabinet features a rear port that's designed to deliver a great bass sound without any audible vent noise. Air can pass through the curved port easily, so you get great bass without distortion - and no build-up of pressure within the cabinet that may affect driver movement. Strong cabinet bracing and MDF construction prevents any unwanted vibrations or resonance.
