This decision was made for a number of reasons. 1. Of the current models available, only the P-80, PD-150 and PD-250 will run on the Passport� battery accessories 2. Less than 5% of our users actually purchase the battery accessories 3. The vendor for our battery packs has a 1600 piece minimum order quantity which leaves us with several years of inventory 4. We needed a solution to support all Passport� models (see attached) 5. New compliance requirements, requires new testing *_Passport Battery Alternative_* Since the Passport� Battery Pack and DC/DC converters have been discontinued; we have devised a possible solution for the three of the six current Passport� models *(P-80, PD-150 and PD-250) *that possess the capability to run off the Passport� battery accessories. What we can suggest, is that we direct our customers looking for a battery solution to *inverters*. Attached is a solution based on the information our R&D team provided. Our customers can take the information provided to any consumer electronics retailer (Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc.) and purchase the appropriate components. Please be aware that the PD-500 requires the most current draw. If the inverter solution will work for the PD-500, it will work for all Passport � models (just for a longer period of time).
