The BM 12S will complement stereo and multichannel monitoring equally well in demanding production environments like post production, music recording and mixing, film editing, DVD authoring and mastering, multichannel production (audio or audio for pictures), broadcast, edit suites, and OB vans. Dynaudio BM 12S subwoofers are ideally suited to obtain maximum response from high-resolution formats such as DVD-Audio� and SACD�. With a 12 woofer and 250 Watts of power, the Dynaudio BM 12S will surely take care of the most challenging requests. But being very versatile, multiple Dynaudio BM 12S's will compliment larger multichannel setups, giving a very powerful system for the most demanding studios. Remote Control Taking advantage of renowned Dynaudio technology, the BM 12S comes with a remote control for easy operation of key features and presets. With the DSC 1M Remote Control you have complete integration and control of the Dynaudio BM 12S. Ensuring a convenient daily operation, the remote control gives you instant access to significant operation parameters of the Dynaudio BM 12S: Subwoofer Level control, adjustment of Crossover frequency ranges, Storing and recalling presets, tuning the Phase settings and altering the Low Frequency Extension are just a few of the many possibilities that the remote control puts right at your fingertips. The DSC 1M is included with the Dynaudio BM 12S sub. Phase Adjustment The Phase setting of the Dynaudio BM 12S has been factory-set at 0� which in many cases will be the appropriate setting but can be adjusted via the remote to 0�, 90�, 180� or 270�. The Crossover frequency of the BM 12S can be set to four positions: 60, 80, 100Hz and Flat. The roll-off slope is 24dB per octave. The Phase relationship between a subwoofer and satellite speakers is very dependent on relative distance,construction and working principles of the main speakers. If either BM 12S or main speaker are slightly delayed in response in relation to the other, it can result in decreased bass output in the frequency response area where they overlap each other. With the phase settings of the Dynaudio BM 12S you can adjust the timing relationship between the BM 12S and main speakers for optimal performance. Four Presets With four presets available you have the flexibility of recalling different sets of the Dynaudio BM 12S' settings, depending n what suits the occasion best. Once you have stored all presets, you can choose to block access to storing, so that presets cannot be over-written by mistake. Each preset stores settings for Volume Level, Crossover frequency, LF Extension and Phase. Dynaudio BM 12S Features: Powerful integrated amplifier.
